MATERIAL FOR CHASSIS EXPERIMENTAL WORK.

We are now running into difficulty in obtaining material for chassis experimental work.

Presumably, in view of the tremendous sacrifices which we have made on behalf of the Government and the small amount of manufacturing which is being carried on in the Chassis Division, we shall have no difficulty in obtaining the necessary Licence.

We attach a copy of a letter from Accles & Pollock which typifies the situation.

The procedure appears to be that we have to write to the Director of Supply for the particular type of material that we require and obtain a Licence. We are anxious to know whether there is any Government Dept. who we can approach to give us a priority claim.
