J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. REAR WHEEL ARCH CASTINGS. X.5830.

We send herewith N sch. 3436/37. shewing the rear wheel arch casting which is essential to enable us to produce the experimental J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. bodies without delivery of the chassis.

The casting has been made to draw as simply as possible, and is universal over a reasonable range of normal bodies.

It will be noticed that it is sawn off to shape in many places by the coachbuilder.

The casting need not be machined anywhere except perhaps at the rear support. We say this because Thrupp & Maberley do not machine theirs.

We think for the first bodies we should supply the cover over the rear universal joint.

We shall want two of these castings (L. and R.H.) within a week if we are to give the first body by Easter.
