1204. W/S. To Bkl. from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}5/AP.21.12.36. In reply to your memo Bkl.1/15.12.36., we are sorry to say that we cannot completely cover the request of Mr.Bourdon with regard to prints of the general arrangement of the 4¼ Litre Bentley and the Phantom III. engines. We enclose, however, the lubrication diagram and two external photographs of the Phantom III. engine, also a cross sectional lubrication diagram of the Bentley engine, these being the most comprehensive arrangements available. The Drawing Office do not make any complete arrangement drawings either sectional or external,on the grounds that they are of such little use and yet would take a consider-able time to carry out.
