Dear Robotham,

I am sorry I was not here when you came the other day, because I could have put you in touch with Thomas on the subject of Chromium Plating.

Herewith copy of his report on the subject of your four questions. As far as question No.4 is concerned, the only thing we can say with reasonable certainty is that the direct cost of Chromic Acid is about 1/6d per block. On top of that has to go labour and overheads - labour however should be very small, nor do I see why the overheads should be in any way onerous.
