LORD ROCKSAVAGE'S CAR. With reference to your memo Bn{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}16/W24.2.20, it will be necessary for the Expl: Dept: to supply us with the necessary shock absorber parts for fitting to Lord Rock-savages' Car, owing to the fact that these parts have not been standardised. Although we understand a quantity are being put through the works, these will come through in quantities, and we are informed by the Production Dept. that they cannot specialise on completion of one set. This car will of course require a special tank and special axle brackets fitting, but we will get these parts from the works. We will make the necessary arrangements for the parts to be got out to Nice by the quickest possible route, and will fix up with Entwistle, at present at Nice, to carry out the actual fitting in the same way as the shock absorbers were fitted to Salamanca's Car. Will Mr. Hives let us know how soon the shock absorber parts can be supplied. We have asked Mr. Delooze to make arrangements for the parts to be urged through to Nice by the quickest possible route, but assume if there is likely to be any lengthy delay in getting these parts through, we should send someone out with them. Since writing the above we understand from Mr. Hives that he cannot supply the shock absorber parts for the above car, and consequently we are asking Mr. Bailey and Mr. Wormald to urge the shock absorbers now going through from production, and let us know how soon we can have a set for Lord Rocksavage's Car.
