From Exp. Dept. Copies for: Mr Johnson. Mr Royce. Mr Hadin. Mr Bailey. Report on Experiment No.183 Hand adjustment for top shoe of Footbrake, in place of set screw and lock nut. This worked quite satisfactorily on all the austrian cars. As it stands up about 4" above the top of the frame there had to be a hole cut in the boards under the front seat to allow for it. If it could be made more compact I consider it would be an improvement on the standard cars. It is very awkward to get two spanners on to lock the present set screw if the boards under the front seat do not lift up. | ||
