We recommend that you obtain a supply of monel metal gauze 160 mesh made in a similar manner to the original petrol gauze. The Goshawk petrol filter, although in the form of a cylinder, is shrouded so that the whole effective area of the gauze is used. Although this filter might suffer from the fact that it is not washed by the petrol, is has the advantage that under some conditions, there is 10 to 12 lbs. available to suck at the filter. We have examined several filters which have run 20,000 miles. So far we have not found one which shows signs of corrosion similar to the 40/50 H.P. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
