Rear Axle Pinion - Bentley.

Wear has always taken place between the pinion nose and the inner race of the roller bearing. By making these in one as shown on Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1402 we could overcome this trouble and stiffen the pinion nose.

After watching the Gleason machine making these pinions we do not think the cutter will foul the additional metal.

Several pieces and machining operations are eliminated by this alteration.

Will you therefore please make a pinion to try on 1-B-IV.
