re 20-HP Dynamo Failure. 55-S-O.{Mr Oldham}

We have today returned to you a dynamo taken off the above chassis, which failed while the car was in customers hands.

The dynamo has been replaced and the car is now quite O.K.

From the external test it would appear that there is an earth on the field winding.

Will Mr. Brock please dismantle for examination and request BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and EFC to examine same, and as soon as their investigations are complete to repair and return same to us as quickly as possible.

Also please let us know what is the cause of the failure, and what action is being taken to prevent it occurring again, and whether it is possible that other dynamos may give the same trouble, also to what order number the cost of putting this dynamo in order should be charged.
