X.4118 20.HP. DYNAMO FAILURE. 55.S.O.

With reference to your memo EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}23/H.7/9/23,
we would say that the above Dynamo was examined, and it was found to have an earth in the corner of one of the Field Coils, the insulation was sheared away, and as the pole itself had no other insulation an earth occured.

We propose to modify the poles in future at this point by putting in a large radius, and an insulation round the pole piece itself, we do not think that any action need be taken with regard to Dynamos already built.

The repairing of this Dynamo should be charged to an R.D.W. Order Number.
