1166 DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}15/G.15.11.38. BENTLEY 111. HYDRAULIC JACKS. Please receive herewith the following schemes :- F.CD.991 Layout of Portable Hydraulic Jacks. The above scheme shews the D.W.S. Hydraulic Portable Jack, used to raise the car by fixings on the front and rear bumper brackets, particulars are given on F.CD.747 and 749. We have found the amount of lift required at the rear is 15.000, assuming the tyre is off the rim, to 1.500 off the ground, with the tyre fully inflated, and 11.650 at the front. The D.W.S. jacks in our possession have 13.625 lift, and these are found to be sufficient for our needs by the Experimental Department. Please instruct the above drawing to the Departments concerned for record purposes. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
