To Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/WW. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}; 43409. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}5/LG19.8.27. TENOID BRAKE LINING. With reference to Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/WW6/W19.8.27. We have never had any bulk quantity of Tenoid, nor have we tested this lining in France. We have however run several sets on our experimental cars. We have tried two types - 'T' and 'F'. 'T' is unsatisfactory because it squeaks. 'F' is rather soft. (We have not yet completed our endurance test on this type. At present we should hesitate to fit it on a car with rear brakes only). We shall not be able to pass a considered opinion on the Tenoid lining until it has completed a 10,000 miles test in France. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
