With the fitting of the new contact breaker arm, Mr.Thompson was able to proceed to London without awaiting the arrival of the Works man.

The car came into K yesterday, the 21st inst, for the ignition to be checked after the fitting of the spare contact breaker arm and the supplying of a spare contact breaker for the dashboard case.

This contact breaker has been returned to you under cover of our advice note No.4138 for your examination.

This information is as given to me by Mr. Thompson himself and so perhaps may provide the solution of the mystery as to where Mr.Thompson was when the Derby man arrived on the scene of the breakdown.

K/KC.
