Requesting an alteration to the stand pipe (F80638) in S.S. Autovac Tanks.

X7570 X3579 It has been found that the stand pipe (F80638) in the Autovac tank traps slightly more than 4 1/2 pints for the reserve supply. The agreed quantity for the reserve is 4 pints, hence the stand pipe is robbing the normal working capacity of 1/2 pt. This being undesirable, it will be necessary to shorten the stand pipe by .400"; the altered length will then be 2.900 As the works are now producing these parts, we should be obliged if you would push this alteration through as quick as possible.
