Dear Sirs, With further reference to your letter of the 17th. ulto. requesting us to calibrate one instrument to 776 revs as you are using this on a test bed. It has occurred to the writer that the instrument is fitted with a contracted scale dial and although we should time this instrument accurate at 60 on the dial at 776 revs. it would not be true speed, therefore, before sending this instrument we shall be pleased to know whether you require an instrument with an accurate dial so as to give you a true speed all the way round the dial.
