Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 6065 Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your letter of the 26th.inst. and in reply would state that your letter of the 6th.inst asked whether we could supply instruments Anticlockwise instead of Clockwise, this can be done without any trouble whatever, but, to supply instruments for an Anticlockwise rotation without the drive rotating in this rotation is impossible for an A.T. Instrument. However, it is possible for the needle to rotate Clockwise and for the mileage and trip to work in an Anticlockwise direction as these are the only parts which are worked by gears where it is possible to put different rotation worms in. Regarding the indicating hand, this is purely governed by the rotating magnet and naturally an eddy current drags it round whichever way the magnet is revolving. Trusting this is the information you require. We beg to remain, Yours faithfully, pp. A.T.Speedometer Co.Ltd., C.V. Crawsmett ALL COMMUNICATIONS TO BE ADDRESSED TO THE COMPANY. | ||
