20HP Stronger Steering Tube.
-------------------------

I give you below copy of memo I have this afternoon received from BJ. under reference BJ1/E20/12/26.

I suggest we meet tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon, at 3-30, to talk this over:-

" Before I go to Switzerland after Christmas, I want to be quite clear and happy in my mind as to the position in regard to the adoption of the stronger steering tube on the 20HP.

I should be glad if you could discuss the matter with BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} early this week and let me know exactly how it stands in regard to:

(a) Chassis that have not yet left the works.

(b) Chassis which have left the Works but have not been delivered to customers.

(c) Chassis which are in the hands of customers.

Any part of the steering of a R.R. car which may fail we have always looked on as being extremely urgent and dangerous from the point of view of our reputation, as it might cause serious accidents and deaths.

BJ. "
