E.A.C.CHASSIS ("V" SERIES.)

Before we can despatch the first chassis we have to make 15 modifications and changes which are as follows:-

1. Controls.
Complete new sets are to be fitted in place of the existing old ones. This section is up to the Works with the exception of one part not yet delivered by O.O.

2. Engine Bearer Arm.
The modification to this section consists of fitting and brazing a stiffening tube. This part has not yet been delivered by the O.O.

3. Oil Filler on Rear Axle Box.
This is Works responsibility and we are fully instructed.

4. Fabric Coupling.
To be fitted in place of existing one. Works fully instructed, and all parts are in progress for this alteration.

5. Starter Motor Chain Wheel & New Epic.Gear to Gearbox.
To be fitted in place of existing one. Works fully instructed and all parts in progress. We propose to fit this in conjunction with the Fabric Coupling.

6. Valves.
A large number of these have been heat-treated in accordance with instructions, but later tests have proved this treatment to be faulty. We are now instructed to replace these valves by those treated to the latest instructions. This will necessitate manufacturing some six or seven hundred additional valves and work on these is in progress in the shops. When these are available and in conjunction with other modifications, we will dismantle the cylinder heads on all "V" series chassis made and replace the valves with correctly treated ones.

7. Exhaust Nozzle.
Works fully instructed to fit the new design of Exhaust Nozzle, but we are waiting for one piece from the O.O. The rest of the work is in progress.

8. Pedals.
Works fully instructed, but we are waiting for three items from the O.O. The other parts are well in progress in the shops.
