re. 40/50 HP. Faulty Servo Gear.

Trouble has been experienced on new chassis delivered with unsatisfactory servo gear mechanism, owing to the presence of paint and lubrication on the friction surfaces of the servo brake. Although instructions have been given for the periphery of the servo drum not to be painted or greased, we still find that this is being done. It has been suggested that instructions should be given for these parts to be enamelled, similarly as is now being done to the brake drums.

We shall be glad if you will give this matter your consideration, and if there is any objection to doing this will you please let me know.
