312 Mr Smith Does this satisfy you Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} C.E.Day Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} FMG. E/HDY.{William Hardy}1/HP.23.10.36. Phantom III Clutch. We send herewith N.Sch's 4937/8 showing a clutch pedal with 1" more travel than the present standard as requested by the Experimental Department. N.Sch.4937 shows a permanent scheme which requires a new pedal forging and N.Sch.4938 shows a temporary scheme using the existing pedal forging which is to be bent to the shape required. Both schemes require a new pedal gap plate so the question will arise if the temporary scheme is adopted to begin with, whether it is worth while changing to the permanent scheme when dies are made for the pedal. The total pedal plate travel including the clearance allowed for wear is 6.9" at 13.135" radius measured along a chord. E/HDY.{William Hardy} N.Sch.'s 4937/8 herewith. | ||
