BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} has informed us that you cannot fit the latest modifications to the revised radiator and bonnet on this car because you need some changes to the scuttle of the body. Our latest modifications were to the radiator only. The scuttle of the body was made to the latest configuration of dashboard, but we are now asking you to pass the bonnet over the dashboard as on N.2. series Phantom 2. This should not entail any changes to the shape of the scuttle but merely the removal of any water lip that is looking forward. It may be replaced by a bead looking backwards if the match between the bonnet and the scuttle is not good enough to permit of an absolutely plain finish.

We asked you what the trouble was on the telephone some time ago and you said you would let us know. We should be glad if you would tell us whether you are clear with this now or whether you will need our assistance.
