Dear Sirs, We acknowledge with thanks your esteemed order No. 87924 covering the machining of Short Cylinder Inserts, which are to be produced from the castings which we have in the meantime received. Incidentally, as regards the last item, this should read B.106, which is the mark shown on the castings. Your order has crossed in the post our letter addressed to your Mr. Salt of the Experimental Department, pointing out that we should deliver these Inserts by April 14th. With regard to price, we propose charging 1/4½d.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} each, which is the price we quoted in our earlier letter to you dated March 20th, ex your reference Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}/7/MH.{M. Huckerby} Incidentally, we would like to refer you to your certificate of inspection, No.R.412, which covers the castings in question to ourselves. This refers to Aero Engine Material or Spares. We had the impression that it was not necessary for these parts to be released under A.I.D. Inspection.
