| c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} 404 CONFIDENTIAL. 15th. November 1938, BY.5/N. Messrs.Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Re: 10.B.5. During our visit we handed you PD.302 completely defining the appearance of the above car. We confirm that using the horse released from 9.B.5. you can give delivery of the complete coachwork in twelve weeks from the date of our visit, i.e. Thursday February 2nd.1939. It is our desire to have a greater tumble-in to the body sides even to the extent of widening the body at the base. This will reduce the width of the head and the wider base will help in the deletion of running boards. It was agreed that you would submit a colour scheme and trimming to go with the green leather, originally ordered for 2.B.50, and which we have decided to use up on this car. The door locks may be Everall type. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS. | ||
