5. Drill two .562 diameter holes in frame 1/16" further forward than the scribed centers.

6. Bolt up body to frame and tighten up all around.

7. Pivot lean should now be 1-1/2 to 1-3/4°, and if the bolts are removed, shock absorber casing should slip back on the frame 1/16". That is, there should be 1/16" compression in the lever in the normal riding position (flat spring).

8. When bolted home, the torque reaction damper bolts will foul the absorber body. The bolts should be reversed with the nuts inside, and tightened from the head end.

(c) Front Absorbers - Chassis 1-2400
On the above chassis the Delco design of connecting link will be used. See view "C". Special axle ball studs will be necessary as follows.

Chassis 1-1700
Stud M-1835
Spacer M-1836

Chassis 1701-2400
Stud M-1829
Spacer M-1830

Connect the ball joints, top and bottom, using links M-1831/2 and place the absorber against the frame as far back as possible to obtain a vertical link in normal riding position. With the absorber body in a level position, scribe the bolt holes and drill .562 dia.

On Silver Ghost chassis, the absorber body should be mounted right against the torque reaction damper bolts.

A piece of 1/16" sheet should be cut to shape, and fitted to cover up the holes in the frame left by the old absorber.

2. Chassis Lubrication Piping

Points needing lubrication on Delco units are provided with Alemite fittings.

Alteration to the existing Bijur system should be carried out in accordance with directions below:
