The engines of the cars indicated must be presented, dismantled, on the following Monday morning before 10.30 to the Steward appointed for this examination, subject to a fine of Frs 500 for any delay, not exceeding 30 minutes, or to disqualification for failure to present the car. No car which is no longer in racing condition can be placed. The same applies to vehicles which, on checking the cubic capacity, are not recognised as complying with the stipulations. PITS Art. 52. - Pits must be arranged so that the two drivers and their pit assistant may have at their disposal at the required moment on the pit shelf all that the regulations allow them to take therefrom (see art. 45). It is forbidden to sit or stand on the tables serving for the pit-work subject to a penalty of Frs 500 payable by the competitor in whose name the pit stands, this constituting a warning. On a repetition of the offence the competitor's car or cars may be withdrawn from the race. As a precautionary measure it is forbidden to replenish before the engine of the car is completely stopped subject to a Frs 250 fine for each offence. After two infractions the Stewards may rule the withdrawal from the race of the cars entered by the competitor. Smoking is prohibited in the pits and adjoining outbuildings. It is likewise forbidden to light fires there. Any duly established infraction will be punished in a fine of Frs 500. The race Stewards may require the occupants to vacate the pit if they consider it desirable. In the pits, the competitors or non-competitors shall have at their disposal, close at hand and in proper working condition, fire extinguishers of a make and capacity determined by the supplement to the regulations. The fire-extinguishers are placed in the safe-keeping of the holder of the pit and must be returned in sound condition at the finish of the race to the service entrusted with their care. Any damage to the pits and appurtenances will be noted by the organisers; advertising or other inscriptions direct on the walls of pits are more especially prohibited. The holders of pits will be chargeable with the cost of repairs as assessed by the architect of the A.C.O. On Saturday 17th. June at 10 a.m. the installation of fire extinguishers in the pits will be inspected. ... | ||
