Messrs. Rolls Royce, Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

We beg to thank you for your letter of the 13th instant and information contained therein. The work on the two rings is in hand and the procedure laid out in your letter is being adopted.

As regards the big end bearings you kindly supplied recently, we have held up tests on the engine in question on receipt of your letter stating that you would be sending rings for the centre main bearing. We are anxious that this engine should be put on test with the aluminium tin big ends and centre main, and as soon as we have obtained definite results on the behaviour of the bearings, will let you have a full report.

We should like to take this opportunity of thanking you for your kind co-operation and help in this matter which we can assure you is very much appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

ENGLISH RACING AUTOMOBILES LTD
