X8809 RECEIVED No. BY3/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 1.7.26. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} PHANTOM WHEELS. I have discussed the question of wheels with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} but at the present moment he is not in a position to decide in favour of the use of well-base rims and medium pressure or semi-balloon tyres. The shock dampers in any case will not be ready until the end of August, and our supply of the present type wheels must therefore be sufficient to last us until the end of August. If the order we are at present placing to keep up continuity goes beyond this, then it means that the Works' date will have to be put back. I know that you are summing up the position in regard to the stock of S.S. type wheels, and when you are able to give me exact figures we will discuss the matter together and arrange that no excess of S.S. wheels are left on hand beyond quite a small quantity to deal with repair requirements.
