40/50 HP. CHASSIS. TYPE OF WHEEL.
We have arrived at a point when we must make up our minds what type of wheel we must order for the next month's delivery.
The Works (Mr.Brock), have promised that we shall have hydraulic dampers available at the end of August. Personally, I think the promise will be fulfilled. This really means that we ought to buy well base rims. Which type of tyre is probably another question, that is to say, whether the tyre will be:-
a/- medium pressure well-base.
or
b/- semi-balloon well-base.
I rather thought from our latest experience that you will be inclined to go for medium pressure tyres until we have more definite information, as the result of extended running on the semi-balloon, as to its likely behaviour in customers' hands.
Could you arrange to see me tomorrow morning and settle this issue.
