We have looked into the question of whether our present material would make the type of bonnet with concealed rivet, but we find that the sheets which are in stock are approximately 1" too narrow on the side plates, and the top plates 2" too narrow. In addition to this the material for the new type bonnet is considerably thicker in order to do away with stiffer plates. It therefore means that we must either continue to use the present standard bonnet until we have completed N.2. series or scrap the whole of the material. LID{A. J. Lidsey} BY.{R.W.
