GOSHAWKS.

At a conference on Tuesday, 21st June, at which were present:

C.J. C. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Sp.{Mr Spinney} HO. JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} BJ.

the limousine was inspected with temporary revised RADIATOR and BONNET received from Derby. It is considered that it is extremely difficult for the man in the street to distinguish this from the 40/50 h.p.

After trying other alterations it was considered that filling in the two top corners of the radiator as shown on the radiator which is being sent to you produces the desired effect of retaining the H.R. outline and appearance, but at the same time making it impossible to confuse the Goshawk and the 40/50 h.p. chassis. With this alteration there is no reason why the Goshawk radiator as previously designed should not be used instead of making it 1" higher and 1" narrower.

If this design is approved by you it is thought that you may wish to give instructions to the Works to make the necessary experiments to ascertain whether it is satisfactory.

The members of the conference were asked to submit any other suggestions which might occur to them during the next few days in case they were able to think of anything else which they liked better.

B.J. then left the meeting.

LIMOUSINE DRIVING SEAT. The car with the pedals in the new position was tried with the driving cushions raised. It was considered that the seat as at present temporarily fixed was comfortable and did not necessitate any alteration to the length of the steering column. Will you kindly consider this, with a view to making use of the 130 sets of B type control tubes and fittings etc. referred to in the extract from EY5/P15.6.22, as follows:

"With reference to the discussion which has been going on in regard to the above matter between Sales and W.W. we have received instructions from W.W. that the length of the steering column is to be increased, in order to increase the height from the top of the cushion, compressed, to the bottom of the steering wheel, by 1", whilst maintaining the present
