X.4290 - SCINTILLA DYNAMO. (Translation)

Connections of the Scintilla Dynamo.

The scintilla dynamo is wired to the distribution board by two cables Nos. 3 & 5.

One No.3 wired to terminal No.3 of the board ensures that the delivery to the consuming devices goes through two fuses.

The other No.3 wired to No.5 terminal of the board ensures the operation of the control lamp which remains alight while the dynamo voltage is below that of the battery.

A third cable, No.4, wires the dynamo directly to the negative (-) pole of the battery of accumulators in going through the board terminal.

The dynamo carcase is connected to the positive (+) pole of the battery by the frame of the engine and chassis.

Operation of the Scintilla Dynamo.

The 100 watt type Scintilla dynamo is provided with a instrument comprising a vibrator regulator, a main automatic cut-out and an automatic cut-out controlling the operation of the regulator.

This last piece of apparatus maintains in the windings of the regulator a current (coil) so long as the battery is not fully charged, and the dynamo delivers a constant current.
