RR 23a (150 BKS.) (DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 461-B 12-24) MP 306975 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. (3) To_________________ 19__ Order No. WD{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}80 (contd) Customer's No._____________ The coil primary temperature was ascertained by measuring the resistance. In test 1 the primary attained a temperature of 147°C and at the end of test 2, 136°C. The coil was then retested under normal conditions and was found to be quite OK. These temperatures are very high indeed but upon unwinding the coil the primary insulation was not found to be charred but only discoloured slightly brown. We are now conducting tests to ascertain the charring temp of the cotton insulation of the primary wire. Signed H.E.W. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
