X7655B X.7655B. COMBINED MAIN SWITCH & AUXILIARY X.7781. SWITCH UNIT. SPECIFICATION OF PRODUCTION ADJUSTMENT. VERSION J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 1. ADJUSTMENT. (1) Assuming that the armature stop pieces on the main and auxiliary levers have been duly adjusted to their correct values of .012 - 2, the first adjustment of the combined system consists in arranging the relation of the main switch lever side arm to the continental bakelite packing piece on the auxiliary switch lever to give the condition that when both levers arrive at their fully down positions, there is .010 + 2 clearance between the main switch lever side arm and the bakelite packing piece. This means that the relay switch lever has a further travel of .010 + 2 measured on the core centre line, after the main switch lever is down on its stop. (2) Now insert a .045 non-magnetic distance piece between the armature and core stop of the main switch lever, and with the lever suitably held down (electrically if desired) to this distance piece, adjust and secure laminated copper contact arm so that the first pair of laminations to make contact are just in contact with the plain copper contact. This will mean that the first pair of copper contacts become compressed .062" when armature stop reaches core. | ||
