Complaint. Marles Steering 25/30 H.P. chassis lubrication is attached. A modification [handwritten: 16333] was made and passed into production on the 10/8/36. COMPLAINT 20/25 25/30 H.P. Oil getting on to front brakes by drawing down [handwritten: draining] mud excluder reported 17/7/36. A new guard for the mud excluder was issued for production on the 7/9/36, and will come in on 101 in N2 series. It can be used by depots back to F2A Series. A scheme was also issued for existing cars G.57208/9 and oil deflector G.57206/7 which will go back to 81 in T.B. series. A slight alteration to the brake drum is necessary on the old cars, which is covered by G.54287. COMPLAINT ALL CARS. [handwritten: Ignition] cables breaking down of insulation. A new Helsby cable is now being fitted and Depots have been supplied. COMPLAINT 20/25 25/30 BENTLEY. Failure of Distributor Rotor which completely puts the car out of action - reported 6/7/36. A new design D.54828 which has an air gap under the blade, has been designed. A standardisation sheet has been issued. No date can be given for supplies to Depots or for production. COMPLAINT. P.III. Dynamo failures through faulty fuses. This fault was found and dealt with by By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} last March. It was believed that all faulty fuses had been changed. [handwritten: 5] complaints however came in with this fault. It should not re-occur By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} having thoroughly dealt with the manufacture of the fuses. COMPLAINT. 25/30 H.P. Popping in Carburetter at approx. 50 m.p.h. This complaint has been recurrent, but is confined to cars that are used in Town only. In these cases the complaint is serious, and owners have not been satisfied with the service | ||
