X7460 HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M6.3.31. Copy to - SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} X.4531. X.7460. REAR END OF P. 2. As you are aware SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} is pressing for an apron for the rear end of P. 2. The sch. which we have had submitted to us by Derby for a rear apron needs some modification in order to make it suitable for universal use. what we are most worried about is that although we gave you a sch. for fitting up a tank with a central vent and single line K.S. petrol gauge on the 17th. Nov. last, as far as we are aware no tests have been made on such a tank. In order to make a respectable apron we must get rid of the ugly gauge fitting now on the tank, and the central vent is apparently the only way out. We had hoped that this feature might have been got on to both P. 2. and 25HP. cars as a special item if it had got on test quickly. It should have the effect of making the gauge work consistently and result in a considerable saving. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
