| X1180 To H1. Yesterday I had occasion to visit Mr. J.N. Longley, the Chief Chemist of Messrs. Ferodo Ltd. We discussed, amongst other things, the scoring of brake drums on Phantom III by the linings. Mr. Longley said he had not any very complete records of photomicrographs of millenite drums, and asked if I could obtain for him from you pictures showing the extremes of variation of the structure. Mr. Longley has always given the experimental Dept. all the assistance he can, and so I should be much obliged if you would send him direct the information he desires.
