SALES DIRECTOR'S OFFICE.
14th September, 1934.

H.E. West, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ld.,
DERBY.

Dear Mr. West,

When discussing your Instrument Panel with Mr. Dorer this morning it occurred to me that we ought to submit to you the new Speedometer in the windscreen position idea which we have now worked out although, naturally, our model is a little crude.

I mention this new instrument as I respectfully suggest that it is a much more interesting proposition than anything which has so far been devised. You will appreciate that in this position the Speedometer can be read most easily - this point, I think is going to become even more important with the introduction of the suggested forthcoming speed limit legislation.

Perhaps, before going too far with the altered panel scheme, you will kindly let me know whether the above idea interests you. I am afraid that to see a demonstration of the instrument - it is necessary to trouble you to visit us at Cricklewood.

Awaiting your news.

Yours very truly,

C. W. Nichols
SALES DIRECTOR.
