Experimental Body having improved ingress to the Bentley Driving Seats.

With reference to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}13/E.20.4.36.

We have experimental bodies running about on 1-B-IV and 3-B-IV which are to all intents and purposes scrap. We do not need particularly up-to-date bodies for these chassis, which are largely used for destructive experiments, but they must be weather-proof.

When we have finished our experiments on the boxed-in frame we propose to take 5-B-IV body off this chassis and put it on one of the other cars, scrapping the body so replaced. 5-B-IV body, it will be remembered, is representative of nothing in particular, and as it is bigger and heavier than anything that has been standardised it is unsuitable for forming an opinion on major frame alterations. Our proposal is that we should fit the new body to 5-B-IV chassis.

We have gone sufficiently far with the simple boxed-in type of stiff frame to be able to say that it looks as if it will be worth following up.
