WRAITH DISTRIBUTOR: GOVERNOR ADVANCE CHARACTERISTICS. Advance distr. degrees. Speed Distr. RPM. 0 125-150 1/2 150-190 3 275-350 6 450-525 9 650-725 12 900-1000 14 1100-1200 Full advance 14-15 degrees (Distr.) We have found that the Lucas governor characteristic is appreciably altered by variation in the spring tension on the contact fingers, (we use 15-16 oz. on the points). We also find that it is late getting off the mark when used in conjunction with our contact breaker. Min. 260 R.P.M. of the distributor. Messrs. Lucas think our limits are too narrow: however, both the Delco-Remy and the R.R. type of governor can be produced so as to conform to the above limits. | ||
