1091 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 30th August, 1939. Capt. S.B. Wilks, The Rover Company Ltd., New Meteor Works, COVENTRY. Dear Capt. Wilks, The Brigadier of our Anti-Aircraft Regiment, whose name is Wickham, is the owner of a Rover car. He has had a tremendous amount of trouble with this car, and spoke to me about it very bitterly to-day. He is quite a reasonable sort of individual, and I believe he has had an unusual amount of trouble with this car. I feel that unless you can satisfy him his comments are likely to be really damaging to the reputation of the Rover Co. The car has been back to the factory a number of times, I believe Scott has dealt with it, but the Brigadier is not, as yet, satisfied. I apologise for interfering, but always like to know of dissatisfied customers myself. Yours sincerely, | ||
