Coverley - Production Engineer}; from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/KT;4.12.33. CRANKSHAFT WITH SHORTER CRANKPINS. We think before we make a complete crankshaft with 1.0" long pins that it would be advisable to make sure that Dural connecting rods will work satisfactorily with such a small bearing area. We send you herewith drawing of your Dural rod Ex.12396. modified so as to reduce the bearing surface to .960" wide leaving flanges on the connecting rods so that they can be tried out on an existing crankshaft. Will you please make one set for test. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
