9th. December 1937.

Messrs. The Gandy Belt Mfg. Co. Ltd.,
Seacombe,
Wallasey,
Cheshire.

For the attention of Mr. Ikin.

Dear Sirs,

We have received the graphited linings you have prepared for us and we have instructed them to be fitted to a Bentley. This car should be on the road again in a few days.

We have also got our test rig ready to run again so that we will shortly be testing the 400 GM. on the rig also.

When we have formed an opinion about this lining we will communicate with you again.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
