Re Chassis No. B.2.GA. Trials.

This chassis is fitted with a Coupe body and the total equipped weight of the car is 32 cwt. 3 qrs. 21 lbs.

I took it to Brooklands and the lap speed with one passenger up was 86.46 m.p.h. and the speed over the flying half mile was 90 m.p.h. There was very little wind. The maximum revs. on the lap were 4,350.

I also took a 3½ litre, Chassis No. B.79.FC. which is fitted with a Saloon body, the total equipped weight of the car being 33 cwt. 3qrs. 0 lbs.

The lap speed of this was identical with B.2.GA.

Running the two cars side by side the acceleration of the 4¼ litre was very much better than the 3½ litre.

From the standing start the 4¼ took 54 secs, with three passengers up, to do a mile. This compares with approximately 60 secs. on the 3½ litre.
