Dear Mr.Grylls,

Replied with thanks [Handwritten note]

I thank you for your letter of the 22nd inst. and note that two of the faulty pumps have been sent to Messrs.Shelleys and the third is being sent to me here for my personal examination. I will let you have my report on this pump at an early date.

With regard to the Bentley Hydrolift jack returned to us for rectification, we found it impossible to utilise all the existing parts when this jack was re-assembled, owing to the fact that the copper washer between the jack tube and the die cast body was in position and to remove this after it has once been fully tightened down, damages the casting. In the circumstances, a new body has been fitted.

The jack and special bracket will be despatched tomorrow, and I trust you will find this entirely satisfactory.

Yours sincerely,
