Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/HP.20.4.36. Phantom III Rear Spring Front Anchorage. Herewith is LeC.5081 showing a design of an offset rolled eye for rear springs, suitable for rubber bushes, to replace the solid offset eye previously instructed, if it is found suitable. The object is saving of cost. The design follows the Cadillac even to the pressed in washer to take side load. Should this latter be found in-adequate we can return to the bush with a central collar, but this seems unnecessarily expensive, and we think the plain washer should be tried. In other respects the design follows the previous arrangement of rubber bush with solid eye, and is inter-changeable with it. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} LeC.5081 herewith. | ||
