c.c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 804 4th. November 1938. BY.10/N. Confidential. Messrs.Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden London N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Re: Styling B.50 Bodies. We would like to confirm our remarks re the mock-up which you are making in connection with the above. (1) We agree that the 4-light body may have a reduced quarter and boot as indicated on your print of PD.280, even though this does entail a different boot lid{A. J. Lidsey} to that of the 6-light body PD.279. The junction between the boot and rear panel will be a square corner and not a radius. (2) The back light may be as large as possible and without a centre bar. (3) We will send a radiator shell and headlamp supports. (4) The mock-up will be ready in ten weeks from November 2nd.1938. (5) You will send us a provision/cost for the mock-up. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. M Harvey Bailey CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS. | ||
