To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} Copy to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} " " Ck.{Mr Clark} " " Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X.3428. X.3426 Bn{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}14/W.19/1/20 Re Failure of Actuating Box for Engine Starter. X.3426. With reference to EPS/F10.1.20 in which EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} points out that the pull required to engage the Jaw Clutch is influenced considerably by the condition of the rear face of the jaw clutch etc., it appears desirable to investigate this and ascertain whether improvement could be effected by breaking up this surface. I believe this has already been tried with success. It should be persevered with and some definite conclusion come to quickly. Will you please inform me the position of this matter, and what tests you have in hand. Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} | ||
