W/S - C. 45300 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/KW.24.1.35. Clutch Tests on the 20/25 HP. Replying to C.1/C.24.1.35. It is appreciated that we shall not know how good or bad this clutch is until it has actually gone into production. It is certain that eventually certain cars will be worse than 21-G-IV and certain cars will be better. We have, however, made several of these clutches we consider 21-G-IV to be a fair average. We however are not familiar with the type of complaint which is engaging the attention of Cricklewood. For this reason we want their opinion on the car. An exactly similar clutch with a different lining is available at any time in London on 4-B-IV Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car. You will of course have one on your own car shortly. We should like 21-G-IV back in Derby on Saturday, as the strip at the completion of 15,000 miles has not yet been made. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
