RC{R. Childs} 6142. To Mr. [Redacted] Copy to Mr. [Redacted] BY/RD.1/B.5.2.38 Phantom III Dynamo. The proposal to put the small dynamo on Phantom III requires more consideration, since the maximum output of the small machine limited by its sparking is 14 amps. Admittedly, this is better than the Phantom III standard machine, but even so, I do not consider it meets the need of the Phantom III. The experimental armature for the Phantom III dynamo gave a better performance than the small machine. Speed output. (5250) Ph.III standard. 11 1/2 Ph.III expl. 18 25/30 HP. 14. Lucas. 12 1/2. Since any of our cars are likely to have a load of 16 1/2 amps. min. and we cannot guarantee that the overdrive will be used, it appears we must make provision for speed conditions. BY/RD. | ||
