10. VALVES & SPRINGS.

Endurance Tests of Valves, Springs, Seats, & Cam & Rocker Mechanism including Valve Bounce Tests.

10 HP. variable speed motor 1,750 R.P.M. Rig to take Kestrel or Merlin cylinder block complete.

Oil pump attached - with steam heated 3 gall. tank - to supply camshaft with oil up to 100 lb/sq. in. pressure at 200°C.

Provision for attaching Albany unit to supply high temperature oil to cylinder for valve seat tests.
